On May 25, 2018 the European Alliance’s General Data Protection Regulations are getting an upgrade/overhaul as I understand it. From all that I’ve been frantically reading here is what I’ve gathered, basically of terms this means that there certain new rules to how information can be gathered, stored, maintained and so forth. To get a better idea you can Google GDPR because there are a ton of people who say it one hell of a lot better then I do.
So here is what I need for you to know before you comment on another post that I put up.
I do not store information.
I do not keep addresses or personal information.
If you comment on a blog post that I’ve created, you are doing this of your own free will and using your name knowing that it will show up on my website.
If I do a giveaway I only keep the information for as long as the giveaway is running and then once I’ve sent everything off to the winners – it gets deleted. This would be the only instance in which I would keep information from you, and this would only be for a very short period of time.
For this blog, I am a Blogspot user so I’m pretty much reliant upon them to ensure that they are compliant to the updated rules and so on, so I’m hopeful that there won’t be any issues there.
Now, if you were a member of my email list, that list has been deleted and purged from the trash so that its completely gone. All newsletters from here moving forward will be done with compliance to the GDPR rules and regulations.
So I guess it’s all down to this. Again, I won’t share your information. I won’t sell your information. No one but myself has access to my April Zyon email, and while I do have help it is only with the promotion of my books. The people who help me will never have access to my personal email, that is only for my personal use and for readers to be able to use if they wish to reach out to me.
I hope that I hit everything that I need to. 🙂
Now, I’m off to hopefully go and finish this book!
Big hugs and lots of love,
